I've heard that A Passage to India has been adapted for the stage later this year.
Can anyone confirm this?

New stage adaptation!

Hi William,

Shared Experience will be touring a new stage adaptation of E.M. Forster's classic this autumn in the UK. Check out www.setheatre.co.uk

Visually stunning, compelling performances have become a hallmark of this world class company’s work. They have developed an enviable reputation for presenting great classics from a fresh perspective – leaving audiences with a memorable impression of the company.

Enormously moving adaptations such as Mill on the Floss, Anna Karenina, Jane Eyre, and War and Peace, have won them huge acclaim, consistently winning awards and earning the highest praise from every quarter - setting the standards for others to follow. This new production will see them at their breathtaking best.

Shared Experience will brilliantly blend text-based and physical theatre to create a visually stunning and compelling production. Unlike David Lean's 1984 Oscar nominated film, this adaptations heart is much closer to Forster's original novel, exploring the many subtleties and complexities of different cultures that existed in India in the 1920s - and that is echoed in Britain today.

It will be a must for an Forsterite, or anyone studying A Passage to India.
